Dynamic constitutional frameworks (DCFs) were synthesized and screened for biofilm inhibition or disruption. They are composed of a trialdehyde core reversibly linked to diamine PEG connector variety neutral, anionic, cationic heads, generate library DCFs multivalent dendritic architectures in the presence Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus aureus. The best always polycationic nature heads significantly impact antibiofilm activity. activity was observed DCF3B, displaying polyethyleneimine head. A simple inactive guanidinium functional head strongly inhibited growth when assayed as DCF3C. Using more advanced vitro model chronic wound infection, DCF3C found superior than all other DCFs. These results demonstrate versatility effectiveness low cost efficient systems
